The ATS 2025 conference will be held in San Francisco, CA, May 16-21, 2025. As part of ATS 2025 the International Conference Committee will organize a high-profile Clinical Trials Symposium to feature new breakthroughs in treatment and management of adult and pediatric pulmonary, critical care, and sleep disorders. This session is a platform for important Phase III trial results but can also feature results from large Phase II trials that are novel and represent important new understandings.

The Clinical Trials Symposium will be programmed as a 120-minute event on Sunday, May 18, 2025, from 2:15 – 4:15 p.m. We anticipate selecting up to 4 presentations.

The deadline to submit a clinical trial is March 5, 2025.

Final selection of the trials for the session will be based on pre-evaluation of the key results by an International Conference Committee (ICC) sub-committee that includes the ICC Chair and Chair elect and additional ICC members with clinical trials expertise. All members of the ICC sub-committee will be bound by a non-disclosure agreement.

Important Notes:

  • Submission of an application does not guarantee a slot on the Clinical Trials Symposium or the ATS 2025 International Conference.
  • Accepted trials will be published as an abstract in the conference program and the American Journal of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine.
  • To be considered for programming independent of the Clinical Trials Symposium, submission of an abstract providing current data on the study is strongly encouraged but not required. The Late-Breaking abstract deadline for ATS 2025 is Jan. 29, 2025.
  • The Clinical Trials Symposium will be recorded. Full agreement to the ATS 2025 Speakers Agreement is required for participation.
