Center for Career Development- Call for Input

HomeProgramEarly Career Professionals ▶ Center for Career Development- Call for Input

Do you have an idea for an interactive session focused on career development? Has a workshop, talk, or small group discussion relevant to trainees, early, and mid-career professionals been turning in your mind? If so, the Center for Career Development (CCD) might be the place for you!

The CCD is a forum for programming dedicated to trainees and early or mid-career ATS attendees. Programs within the CCD include a variety of daily workshops, didactic lectures, small group sessions, and other opportunities focused on career development and career transitions. Sessions are typically 50-minutes long and leverage the CCD’s unique setting to foster a safe environment for interactivity, experiential learning, informal discussion, and networking.

And NOW, the Members in Transition and Training (MITT) Committee is inviting external proposals for the CCD at ATS 2023!
Characteristics of successful proposals include:

  • Content that is timely and relevant to early- or mid-career members and their career development
  • Sessions that are designed to promote interactivity and engagement
  • Events that support the ATS’s broader goals to ensure diversity and inclusion across its programs (e.g., sessions that feature diverse panels and which embrace topics relevant to diversity, equity, and inclusion)
  • Submissions that feature early career members as organizers, speakers, or panelists.

The CCD “call for input” period is NOW Open! Programming decisions will be announced in the fall.
