  • Important notice for international attendees

The U.S. government recently experienced a partial shutdown but has reopened. Visa processing delays are likely, resulting from both the backlog of visa applications submitted during the shutdown, as well as ongoing uncertainty until the government reopens permanently. It is important that attendees traveling from countries that require a visa to enter the US submit visa applications as soon as possible, to account for these delays. At that time, should you encounter problems, please contact Chris Hughes, Associate Director, Global Health at the ATS (chughes@thoracic.org), for assistance. When emailing, please include the words “Visa Issues” in the subject line of your email.
